A keen appreciation for architecture, rolling hills and country estates such as those in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains brought Barbara Berk and her family to make Charlottesville, Virginia their home for over twenty years. 

Barbara is a past winner of the Northwestern Equestrian Team’s International Championship in Three Day Events.  If you are looking for an equestrian property, Barbara’s equestrian insights will help you find the perfect equestrian property.

A graduate of Florida State University and The George Washington University, Barbara holds a Master’s Degree and has taught public and private school for ten years while raising four children. She is also a professional architectural illustrator.   

Barbara is married to Harold W. Berk, Ph.D., retired nuclear physicist and professor emeritus at the University of Virginia.  Barbara and Harry are residents of Glenmore Country Club and members of Keswick Country Club. If you are interested in country club living, Barbara is ready to help you. 

Barbara holds the coveted designation of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) which is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. The ABR is awarded to real estate professionals by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the NAR (National Association of Realtors).

Further, Barbara holds the e-PRO designation for certified internet professionals who have successfully completed e-PRO training program also endorsed by NAR (National Association of Realtors).
